Smart tips for a sustainable outdoor garden
This backyard began as a stark expanse of rocks, harsh and uninviting. Rather than remove them. We chose to work with them by embracing the natural environment. The stones created a strong foundation, but the space needed to be balanced.

-
We introduced pavers to create a path,
-
Layers of native plants and trailing vines.
-
Clusters of hardy shrubs to soften the topography and add movement and color.
-
We introduced a composting area to infuse the soil with nutrients from the food we grow.
-
The result is a sustainable backyard that conserves water, supports local wildlife, and feels calm and welcoming, which is proof that even the most rugged landscape can be transformed through thoughtful planning.
